Material Handler – Mill Operations

The Material Handler – Mill Operations role is onsite in Merrillville, IN. Pay is $23.00 per hour, with a $1.00-per-hour shift premium for off shifts. The role supports production and distribution by moving materials and staging finished products for manufacturing operations. The material handler keeps production supplied and products moving by operating powered industrial trucks, loading and unloading materials, managing inventory transactions, and packaging goods. Safe, timely material movement helps prevent disruption to manufacturing lines.

What you'll do

• Operate powered industrial trucks, including large-format Combi-Lifts
• load and unload materials and products
• move materials among docks, trucks, storage, and manufacturing areas
• stack skids, crates, and dunnage
• clean and dispose of scrap
• manage inventory using scan guns and required transactions
• package or repackage goods with manual banding equipment
• service manufacturing lines efficiently.

Why this role
