The Medication Specialist – Askia role is onsite in Roxbury, MA. Compensation is $22–$25 per hour. The role supports medication safety and resident care in a BSAS-licensed Co-Occurring Enhanced Residential program at The Dimock Center, a community health center focused on healthcare and education access. The specialist coordinates medication management and continuity of treatment with residents, nurses, providers, pharmacies, and the interdisciplinary team. The role supports safe self-administration, accurate records, secure storage, monitoring, and communication of medication-related concerns in accordance with program policies and applicable requirements.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate prescribed medications
  • complete medication reconciliation at admission, transfer, and discharge
  • receive, verify, document, and securely store medications
  • support resident self-administration
  • administer medications only within applicable credentials and scope
  • maintain records and inventories
  • monitor for medication concerns and communicate them to qualified staff
  • coordinate with pharmacies and providers
  • follow controlled-substance procedures
  • participate in transitions of care, audits, and quality improvement.
