The Medical Social Worker (MSW) — Inpatient Acute Care role is onsite in Fort Myers, FL, on a 13-week assignment. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with one weekend day per month in rotation. Pay is $55–$60 per hour for local and traveler candidates. The role supports inpatient acute-care patients and care coordination. The social worker provides psychosocial assessment, crisis support, counseling, and discharge planning to help patients transition safely from the hospital. The role coordinates with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and case management teams to support continuity of care.

What you'll do

• Complete comprehensive psychosocial assessments
• develop and coordinate safe discharge plans
• provide crisis intervention, counseling, and emotional support
• connect patients and families with community resources and post-acute services
• collaborate with physicians, nurses, and case management teams
• document care in Epic EMR
• and support coordination and continuity throughout the hospital stay.
