The Associate Accountant / Assistant Controller role is an onsite, full-time position in Vermillion, SD, paying $25.00–$30.00 per hour. Minnehaha Country Club serves approximately 740 member families and operates golf, dining, swimming, tennis, and fitness amenities year-round. Reporting to the Controller, this position handles much of the club’s accounts payable and receivable work and supports accurate, consistent accounting operations. It processes and reconciles financial activity, prepares reports, and helps improve accounting procedures while assisting members with account questions.

What you'll do

• Reconcile daily sales and post revenues and receipts
• maintain cash drawers and prepare bank deposits
• process accounts payable and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies
• maintain vendor and member account records
• post member payments and prepare monthly statements
• reconcile the corporate credit card account
• assist with delinquent-account communication and monthly sales and use tax reports
• prepare journal entries and financial reports
• identify process efficiencies
• and maintain confidentiality.

Why this role
