What you'll do

• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection, including venipuncture and capillary puncture
• prepare patients and collect requested specimens
• perform applicable waived-level testing
• document specimen flow in the Laboratory Information System
• process specimens and prepare them for external laboratory dispatch as needed
• follow patient safety and standard precautions
• assist with new employee orientation and training.
