Appliance Mechanic

The Appliance Mechanic role is onsite in Silver Spring, MD, with compensation of $27–$30 per hour. Compensation is based on experience. Leisure World of Maryland serves a private, age-restricted community of 29 housing associations and 8,000 residents.

What you'll do

• Install, service, and repair residential gas and electric appliances in residents’ homes. Diagnose faults using schematics and manuals
• replace defective parts
• test appliances after installation or repair
• maintain refrigerants
• complete work orders and invoices
• advise residents on appliance operation and repair options
• maintain the company vehicle and parts stock
• respond to emergency calls as required.
