The Medical Assistant I – Float role is onsite in Delano, CA. Compensation is $25–$28.50 per hour. The float medical assistant performs routine patient-care, technical, and supportive functions while covering front-office, back-office, intake, and medical-record processes. The role helps maintain patient access, accurate records, and consistent service across the health center.

What you'll do

• Support receptionist and medical assistant functions
• follow standard work procedures and troubleshoot patient issues
• monitor patient schedules to maximize access and reduce errors and delays
• support check-in and check-out, including collections and deposits
• help meet quality and compliance requirements
• cover reception and assist with financial questions
• maintain medical-record integrity and handling
• coordinate with registered nurses and licensed vocational nurses when applicable
• order designated office and medical supplies
• support a high volume of patients and customers.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, current American Heart Association BLS card, California driver’s license, and valid auto insurance. An associate’s degree in a business-related field is preferred.
