Team Lead – First Shift

The Team Lead – First Shift role is onsite in Thomasville, NC, Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pay is $21.00–$25.00 per hour. Quanex manufactures products for fenestration, cabinetry, solar, refrigeration, and outdoor product markets. The team lead coordinates people and production activity to produce quality parts safely and efficiently while minimizing waste. The role monitors processes, supports employee development, and works with supervisors and teams to address performance and safety issues.

What you'll do

• Establish daily demand and manpower plans
• conduct pre-shift safety walk-throughs and interval safety audits
• set team goals and communicate progress
• hold problem-solving meetings
• audit daily work
• balance workflow and monitor production processes
• review underperforming processes with the supervisor and develop action plans
• establish employee rotation and training cycles
• ensure quality checks and compliance with safety procedures.
