People and Risk Business Partner

Job overview

The People and Risk Business Partner role is onsite in Fairfield, CA, with field work at stores in the assigned territory approximately 50% of the time and some overnight requirements. What you'll do

• Consult with company and store management on HR, safety, and risk needs
• work with Operations to implement goals and develop talent plans and training
• conduct manager development meetings
• facilitate employee relations investigations and investigate incidents involving injuries, security breaches, property losses, workplace violence, and safety concerns
• participate in candidate screening and interviews
• manage talent and learning strategy
• investigate and administer workers’ compensation, general liability, and property claims
• liaise with injured workers, management, claims administrators, and legal counsel
• prepare and file the annual Cal/OSHA 300 report and related records
• support compliance with employment and safety laws
• assist Operations with safety procedures
• maintain confidential records and investigation files
• develop proficiency with security systems.
