Back Office Medical Assistant

The Back Office Medical Assistant is an onsite role in Denver, CO. Compensation is negotiable based on experience; no numeric compensation range is specified. The assistant helps the provider and staff deliver efficient clinic operations and patient care by preparing charts, supporting procedures and patient flow, coordinating surgical care, and maintaining records, supplies, and room readiness.

What you'll do

• Complete patient intake, histories, and workups
• assist with in-office procedures and patient flow
• prepare medical charts
• record histories, medications, allergies, vital signs, and test results
• coordinate surgical scheduling and pre- and post-operative care and triage post-surgical patients
• obtain consent forms
• handle referrals, authorizations, and records requests
• schedule tests or admissions
• maintain and clean rooms, equipment, and supplies
• support compliance
• order supplies
• perform medical-record coding and billing.

Why this role

Ophthalmology, plastics, dermatology, ENT, facial plastics, or cosmetic surgery experience is preferred; oculoplastic and orbital surgery familiarity is a plus. Electronic medical record proficiency is preferred, especially eCW.
