Principal RF System & Test Engineer

The Principal RF System & Test Engineer role is onsite in Saratoga, CA. Compensation is not specified. E-Space is redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured, and used, with work focused on satellite component development, design, and in-orbit activities. The engineer develops and executes test strategies to verify system requirements and performance across lab, field, and on-orbit environments. The role builds test capability, automates execution, analyzes results, and works across hardware, software, mechanical, and systems teams to identify and resolve issues.

What you'll do

• Understand system requirements and architecture
• define test plans and strategies for lab, field, and on-orbit testing
• ensure timely, accurate, repeatable test execution
• automate test execution and equipment configuration
• document results, coverage, and KPIs
• design lab setups, including radiated chamber tests, and build test rigs
• coordinate procurement with external vendors
• collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• analyze test results, identify root causes, and communicate findings.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics engineering, RF/microwave engineering, telecommunications, or a related field, plus 7+ years of RF test and validation experience. Python or similar test automation experience and satellite wireless communications knowledge are specified; employment sponsorship is not available for candidates lacking work authorization for the role’s location.
