The Foundry Floor Worker is an onsite, full-time role in Plano, IL, paying $17 per hour. MTH Pumps manufactures commercial and industrial pumps, and P&W Foundry produces castings, including bronze castings. The worker assists with foundry production, including casting preparation, melting and pouring support, finishing, inventory, and shipment preparation. The role also supports process development and learns additional foundry work to help meet production demand.

What you'll do

• Assist with patterns and casting inventory
• prepare castings and paperwork for shipment
• assist with monthly metal inventory counts
• support preheating, melting, loading and unloading shells, pouring-floor setup, moving molds, and inspecting shells
• finish castings using belt sanders, grinders, or shot blasters
• perform tasks related to research and development of new processes
• learn other foundry roles and provide backup labor when needed.
