What you'll do

• Enforce institutional policies, rules, procedures, regulations, and state laws
• maintain order and security
• escort and transport offenders
• screen visitors at facility entrances
• handle and train canines for specified duties
• inspect and account for keys, tools, weapons, and related equipment
• observe offender behavior to prevent disturbances and escapes
• supervise work, meals, and recreation
• patrol assigned areas
• prepare admission, program, release, transfer, and other reports
• respond to emergencies.
