Assistant Engineer — Roadway Design

The Assistant Engineer role is an onsite, full-time, hourly position in Denver, CO. Compensation is $31.75–$39.50 per hour. The role supports Wood Rodgers’ Transportation Department, which works on highways, local roadways, bike trails, pedestrian facilities, drainage facilities, and related design disciplines. The engineer contributes to transportation design projects by preparing analyses, designs, calculations, plans, specifications, proposals, and reports. The position offers an opportunity to learn and gain experience while working with a multidisciplinary engineering team.

What you'll do

• Prepare engineering analyses, designs, and calculations for roadway systems and transportation-related structures, including cost estimates
• assist with layout and plan preparation
• prepare technical specifications
• participate in proposal and report writing
• gather, organize, and analyze engineering data
• manage multiple projects and collaborate with the engineering team.
