The Circulating Nurse role is onsite in Southfield, MI. Compensation is not specified. The nurse supports safe operating-room procedures by preparing equipment and records, monitoring patients, coordinating with the surgical team, and ensuring required counts and specimen handling are completed. The role also contributes to the Center’s quality improvement program and follows its policies and procedures.

What you'll do

• Prepare and complete patient charts and records
• oversee surgical technicians
• ensure equipment and instruments are available
• assist the team with sterile gowns and gloves
• check vital signs and responsiveness
• implement the safe surgery checklist
• monitor patient condition and team needs
• inventory instruments and supplies and oversee needle and sponge counts
• prepare and label tissue specimens
• oversee operating-room cleaning
• support quality improvement.

Why this role

Requires accredited nursing-school graduation, current Michigan licensure, BLS, and at least one year of operating-room circulating experience; ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire. Flexible hours are approximately 0630–1600 across five 8-hour shifts.
