The Climbing and Challenge Course Instructor role is onsite at the Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center in Orange, CA. Pay is $18.50–$20.50 per hour. Scouting America’s mission is to help young people make ethical and moral choices by instilling the values of the Scout Oath and Law. The instructor supports the operation, training, and safety of challenge course programs, including the zipline, climbing tower, and high and low ropes courses, helping deliver programming to center guests.

What you'll do

• Assist the Challenge Course Area Director with course operations, staff training, equipment inventory and maintenance, and facility upkeep
• implement applicable safety standards
• deliver programming and customer service
• inspect and maintain program equipment and facilities
• provide feedback about inventory, personnel, and programs
• support center operations as needed.
