The Math Competition Program Lead role is hybrid and based at Art of Problem Solving’s headquarters in San Diego, CA. The hiring range is $100,000–$130,000 per year. AoPS’s mission is to discover, inspire, and train the next generation of problem solvers. The role develops and runs programs that connect students with math competitions and related learning experiences. It coordinates contest operations and cross-team planning, tracks student participation and performance, and uses those insights to assess and improve contest-related offerings.

What you'll do

  • Define and maintain the organization’s approach to student participation in math competitions and manage operational execution, including campus hosting logistics and cross-team coordination. Build systems to track student performance
  • analyze participation and performance data
  • partner with Marketing, Curriculum, and Educational Services on the annual contest calendar
  • maintain relationships with external contest organizations
  • and serve as an internal resource on the competition landscape.
