What you'll do

• Plan, report, write, and file stories to deadline for a twice-monthly newspaper
• cover assigned beats including tribal governance, education, culture and language, health, youth and elders, public safety, and economic development
• conduct interviews and gather documents and data
• attend meetings and community events as assigned
• take basic photos and captions
• fact-check and correct inaccuracies
• maintain editorial calendars and source lists
• support web and social posting as needed.
