The speech-language pathologist provides services under physician treatment plans, assesses speech, hearing, and language function, and sets patient goals. The role records treatment responses and changes in condition, advises patients and caregivers, and supports patient and caregiver independence.

What you'll do

• Provide speech pathology or audiology services under physician treatment plans
• assess patient functioning and help develop or revise care plans using appropriate tests
• set patient goals
• report treatment responses and condition changes
• instruct patients, families, and health team personnel
• recommend audiology testing when needed and check hearing aids.
