What you'll do

• Perform comprehensive preoperative assessments, identify and escalate high-risk findings, initiate IV access, collect ordered laboratory specimens, administer preoperative medications, verify surgical and anesthesia consents, and prepare patients for timely procedures.
• Educate patients and families, follow infection-prevention and medication-safety standards, document care, participate in quality initiatives, and coordinate with anesthesia, surgeons, operating-room staff, and support personnel.
• May serve as charge nurse as approved by the Nurse Manager.

Why this role

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., with nights and weekends required for call. The posting requires an associate degree in nursing, a current DC RN license, two years of acute-care RN experience, and current BLS and ACLS certification.
