Wellness Director

The Wellness Director role is onsite at Rooted Oaks Ranch in Magnolia, TX, with a stated salary range of $60,000–$85,000 per year. The schedule is weekday-based, with regular onsite presence during retreats, including some weekends. The director partners with the Clinical Director, Retreat Director, and program team to make wellness an integrated part of guest programming. The director builds and oversees wellness offerings across retreats, workshops, day programs, and community activities. By coordinating practitioners, setting session standards, and aligning programming with the guest journey and clinical work, the role supports cohesive, trauma-informed guest experiences and the growth of the ranch’s wellness programs.

What you'll do

• Design and oversee wellness programming
• partner with the Clinical Director to integrate somatic, movement, mindfulness, and nutrition practices appropriately
• recruit, vet, onboard, and schedule per diem practitioners
• set quality standards and provide guidance
• map wellness experiences to the guest journey
• coordinate retreat calendars, staffing, and onsite flow
• attend retreats and events
• track supplies, space needs, and schedules
• contribute to budgets and planning
• gather guest feedback
• develop new offerings and represent the ranch at community events.

Why this role

Requires five or more years of relevant experience and training or certification in at least one wellness modality. Current CPR/First Aid is required or must be obtained. Bachelor’s degree is preferred; retreat-center, equine-program, or nature-based experience is a plus.
