Lead PreKindergarten Teacher is an onsite, full-time role in Burlington, CT. Pay is $18–$22 per hour. The Burlington Academy of Learning offers a Montessori-inspired environment focused on children, families, and hands-on learning. The teacher leads a developmentally appropriate classroom that prepares children for kindergarten while fostering confidence, independence, creativity, and academic, social, emotional, and physical growth.
What you'll do
- Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans
- maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom
- teach early literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, and social-emotional learning through hands-on experiences
- encourage independence and problem-solving
- observe and document developmental progress
- maintain portfolios and classroom records
- communicate and partner with families
- collaborate with administrators and teachers
- maintain an organized classroom
- follow Connecticut licensing, health, safety, and sanitation requirements
- participate in meetings, professional development, school events, and family engagement activities.

Why this role
Requires at least four years of early childhood education experience and an associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or current progress toward a bachelor’s degree and/or Connecticut teaching certification. Montessori experience is encouraged.
