The Human Resources Generalist role is onsite in Hollywood, MD, with annual compensation of $64,400–$83,800. The position supports the Human Resources department and partners with hiring managers and internal stakeholders to support employees throughout the employment lifecycle. The role coordinates onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, employee records, HRIS data, and compliance activities. By maintaining accurate documentation and supporting HR processes and improvements, the Generalist helps provide a seamless employee experience and meet company policy and regulatory requirements.

What you'll do

• Coordinate new-hire onboarding, including candidate communications, background screenings, system setup, training coordination, travel arrangements, and first-day activities
• track onboarding progress and provide updates
• ensure I-9 and employment eligibility documentation compliance
• administer benefits onboarding and enrollment support
• complete employment and security-clearance verification documentation
• maintain personnel records
• coordinate offboarding
• monitor unemployment claims
• process offer letters, promotions, and referral bonuses
• reconcile HRIS data between ADP and third-party platforms
• support EEO, VETS-4212, FMLA, labor-law, and health-and-safety compliance
• assist with process documentation and improvement initiatives.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and two or more years of HR experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; an associate’s degree with zero to two years of relevant experience or six years of relevant experience is also listed. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required. SHRM-CP or HRCI PHR/SPHR certification and an active clearance are preferred.
