Diversion Center Technician

The Diversion Center Technician role is onsite in Amarillo, TX, with multiple full-time openings across weekdays, weeknights, and weekends. Pay is $15.66 per hour. Texas Panhandle Centers provides mental health, substance use, and developmental disability services across the Texas Panhandle. The technician engages people experiencing mental health or substance use symptoms who have criminal justice involvement, using trauma-informed, person-centered approaches to build rapport and support a safe environment. The role also assists with transportation, meals, center upkeep, and coordination with the multidisciplinary team.

What you'll do

• Engage clients using trauma-informed, person-centered care
• build rapport during crisis situations
• help transport clients, prepare meals, and maintain a safe, clean environment
• collaborate with Diversion Center staff
• communicate professionally and work with law enforcement and community stakeholders.
