What you'll do

• Greet patients and visitors in person and by telephone
• register patients and update demographics
• verify insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals, and authorizations
• collect patient payments and balances
• coordinate and schedule procedures, testing, and imaging
• communicate pre-operative instructions and financial expectations
• manage schedule changes and documentation
• support patient flow
• enter charges and assist with reconciliation
• scan and maintain records in the electronic medical record
• guide patient services staff on complex issues
• maintain confidential records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
