Mental Health Technician – Per Diem

The Mental Health Technician – Per Diem role is onsite at an inpatient research facility in DeSoto, TX. Compensation is $20–$24 per hour. The role supports Adams Clinical’s clinical trials and its mission to advance healthcare through data quality, safety, and diverse enrollment. The technician provides direct participant care, observation, and engagement to maintain safety and a therapeutic environment, while assisting with basic clinical and laboratory tasks that support protocol adherence and research integrity.

What you'll do

• Provide therapeutic interaction and verbal de-escalation
• review handoff reports and document shifts
• conduct and document 15-minute wellness checks
• supervise breaks and assist with meals and hygiene routines
• support scheduled activities
• monitor and document medication administration
• maintain orderly rooms
• assist with admissions, discharges, and orientation
• complete incident reports
• collaborate on protocol compliance
• take vital signs, collect specimens, perform phlebotomy as needed, and process lab samples per protocol.

Why this role

First shift 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, second shift 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, and third shift 11:00 PM–7:30 AM are available. Weekend or overnight availability Friday–Sunday is strongly preferred; double shifts may be available based on operational needs. Phlebotomy training is provided.
