The Direct Support Professional (DSP) — One-Person Home role is onsite in York, PA, paying $23–$25 per hour. Life’s New Beginning provides residential and community support to people with intellectual disabilities, with a mission to help those served live meaningful everyday lives. The DSP provides individualized care and teaches daily living, health and safety, social, and relationship skills while encouraging independence. The role also supports community participation and leisure activities, serving as a mentor in a one-person residential home.

What you'll do

• Provide direct care
• teach cooking, self-care, hygiene, laundry, cleaning, shopping, health and safety, social, and relationship skills
• support community and social, recreational, or leisure activities
• encourage independence
• complete required training, including CPR, First Aid, medication administration, and Safe Crisis Management.
