The Kitchen Team Lead is an onsite, full-time role serving Straight and Narrow programs in Paterson, NJ. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, with alternate weekends, and the stated pay is $19.00 per hour. Straight and Narrow provides residential, outpatient, and community services for people experiencing substance use and co-occurring disorders. The lead supports food service staff and meal operations across program locations. The role helps ensure meals meet menus and dietary needs while maintaining inventory, food safety, sanitation, and kitchen readiness for the people served by the programs.

What you'll do

• Guide and support food service staff
• coordinate work assignments
• monitor food safety and sanitation practices
• assist with menu preparation and special events
• monitor special meal needs
• deliver food to program locations
• maintain inventories and ordering lists
• receive and store deliveries using FIFO
• assist with meal preparation, service, and distribution
• inspect and maintain kitchen areas, equipment, and required logs
• report unsafe conditions and equipment issues.
