Technician II, Solar Operations and Maintenance

Job overview

The Technician II role is onsite in Aulander, NC. Compensation is $32.30–$38 per hour. NovaSource Power Services provides solar operations and maintenance and asset optimization services for renewable energy owners. The technician maintains and operates a utility-scale photovoltaic power plant, helping support safe operations, equipment reliability, and plant efficiency. The role monitors plant performance and performs testing, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on solar and electrical systems.

What you'll do

• Monitor photovoltaic plant operations through SCADA
• commission, test, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and modify AC and DC solar systems and related equipment
• perform preventive and corrective maintenance with supervision
• assist with projects, installations, commissioning, inspections, and performance testing
• complete work orders and reports
• verify SCADA configuration
• follow safety, environmental, and lockout/tagout procedures
• maintain site housekeeping
• travel as required by company needs.
