The Medical Assistant II role is an onsite, full-time position in Arlington, TX, paying $18–$19.60 per hour. This mid-level clinical support role helps providers deliver patient-centered care through patient rooming, clinical procedures, accurate electronic medical record documentation, care coordination, and clinic workflow support. The position also supports staff development and helps maintain efficient, safe clinical operations.

What you'll do

  • Room patients, take vitals, document in the EMR, and perform basic tests and procedures
  • use specialized equipment including spirometry, nebulizers, and audiometry
  • administer pediatric vaccines
  • follow and teach infection-control, HIPAA, and safety procedures
  • prepare encounters and review schedules
  • manage clinical inboxes
  • support Value Based Care initiatives
  • cross-train across departments and locations
  • cover nurse/MA visits and ancillary procedures
  • lead POD/station compliance and inventory
  • precept new medical assistants
  • support referrals and prior authorizations
  • relay provider instructions and contribute workflow recommendations.

Why this role

Requires completion of an accredited medical assistant program, active medical assistant certification, at least one year of healthcare experience, and documented proficiency in additional skills such as phlebotomy, quality metrics/Value Based Care, or precepting. BLS certification is preferred or may be obtained within 60 days of hire.
