Activities Assistant

Job overview

The Activities Assistant role is onsite in Norfolk, VA. Compensation is $17–$19 per hour. The position supports the Activities Director and plans and delivers resident activities at Norview Heights Rehabilitation and Nursing. The role helps provide residents with opportunities for entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and expression while supporting their social, emotional, physical, and other therapeutic needs. It also helps residents and families explore suitable leisure activities and contributes to activity records and care planning.

What you'll do

• Assist with developing, organizing, and implementing resident activities
• coordinate events and in-room activities
• maintain activity calendars, records, and participation documentation
• involve community groups and volunteers
• support resident care planning and Resident Council
• prepare progress notes
• and follow activity scheduling and documentation requirements.
