The Dedicated Aide-Paraprofessional role is onsite in Washington, DC, with compensation of $21.00–$25.50 per hour. Rocketship Public Schools works to support student achievement and public schools in underserved communities. This role supports students’ academic growth, engagement, and well-being through individualized instruction and assistance. Working with teachers and special education case managers, the aide implements student plans, monitors progress, and provides behavioral and daily-living support.

What you'll do

• Support reading and math growth
• collaborate with teachers and school staff on instruction
• implement student IEPs under the special education case manager’s direction
• provide small- and whole-group instruction
• monitor and record student progress and behavior data
• implement behavior intervention plans
• provide routine first aid and personal care as needed
• assist with assessments and respond to student crises.

Why this role

Requires two years working with people with special needs and one year in a classroom or education setting. Associate or bachelor’s degree, 48+ college credits, or a passing Rocketship paraprofessional assessment is required; crisis intervention certification or ABA experience is also required.
