Quality Assurance Chemist

The Quality Assurance Chemist works onsite in Blair, NE, on a 3-2-3 schedule with listed shift options from 5 a.m.–5 p.m., 6 a.m.–6 p.m., 7 a.m.–7 p.m., or 8 a.m.–8 p.m. Compensation is $24–$27 per hour. The work provides analytical quality support across the organization. The chemist tests raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and customer samples to assess whether they meet specifications. The role also monitors process conditions, supports process decisions, maintains and calibrates instruments, reports results through LIMS and SAP, and helps resolve process issues while upholding stated quality and safety systems.

What you'll do

• Collect and analyze raw material, in-process, final product, and customer samples using analytical methods
• validate and approve raw material shipments
• monitor process conditions and variables using data historian tools
• contribute to process adjustment decisions and recommendations
• provide analytical support across the organization
• operate, maintain, validate, and calibrate bench-top and in-line instruments
• analyze, interpret, and report data using LIMS and SAP
• troubleshoot process upsets and manage resources to resolve them
• train new employees on quality systems, analytical methods, and instruments
• uphold HACCP, ISO 9001/14001, and RC14001 principles.
