Organization Overview. Our laboratory is devoted primarily to investigating platelet physiology, thrombosis, vascular biology, and adhesion phenomena in sickle cell disease. We study the basic molecular interactions between blood cells and the blood vessel. Our studies span from basic molecular structure to complex phenomena such as thrombosis in intact animals.
