Assistant Cook

What you'll do

• Assist with preparing and serving meals
• help prepare three meals daily except when two meals are acceptable on holidays and weekends, with healthy snacks available in place of the third meal
• use the 28-day cycle menu
• support meal service for work-based learning and off-center activities
• provide food options that meet dietary needs
• assist with ordering, receiving, storing, and inventory procedures
• maintain safe food handling and sanitation
• support student input on meal planning
• maintain housekeeping and follow safety, security, and center procedures
• participate in required staff training.
