The Lead Operator role is onsite in Westlake, LA, at 4401 Highway 108. Compensation is not specified. What you'll do

• Operate and maintain treatment and processing equipment
• monitor control panels, flow meters, gauges, and process controls
• record operating conditions in shift logs
• troubleshoot process issues and take corrective action
• perform field and laboratory tests
• sample wastewater, sludge, and gases
• prepare chemical solutions
• monitor chemical supplies
• calibrate portable instruments
• perform routine maintenance and housekeeping
• operate vehicles for plant purposes
• assign and review work
• model procedures and coach less experienced personnel
• support state reporting and compliance.

Why this role

Requires over five years of related experience and a high school education or equivalent. A science or technical associate degree is strongly preferred. Required credentials include the applicable water/wastewater license, a valid driver’s license with safe driving record, and a TWIC card. The role may require rotational 24-hour emergency on-call duty.
