Senior Civil Engineer, Municipal Services

Job overview

The Senior Civil Engineer position is based at the office in Minnetonka, MN, with compensation of $125,000–$175,000 per year. Apex Engineering Group’s municipal services support public and private clients in Minnesota and/or North Dakota. The senior-level role manages and grows municipal services by developing revenue goals, overseeing project budgets, pursuing client opportunities, and recruiting key staff. It also maintains client relationships, mentors project engineers, and coordinates project pursuits to support the sector’s growth and delivery of municipal and infrastructure services.

What you'll do

• Manage client relationships and discuss project opportunities, RFPs, and contracts
• establish strategic partnerships
• coordinate pursuits and staffing with sector leaders
• maintain strategic plans and goals for the municipal sector
• mentor project engineers in contract development, profitability, and risk management
• participate in business development and marketing
• coordinate project pursuit efforts
• recruit and hire strategic staff
• provide financial and progress reports
• monitor civil engineering developments
• participate in professional organizations and community leadership programs.

Why this role
