Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer role is onsite in Orlando, FL. Compensation is $33–$55 per hour. The role performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in evaluating and diagnosing medical conditions. The sonographer produces diagnostic images, supports patient comfort and safety, and communicates relevant findings through established department protocols so the care team can use imaging information in patient evaluation.

What you'll do

• Perform ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and protocols
• obtain diagnostic images
• explain procedures and support patient comfort
• review patient histories and clinical indications
• operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment
• document relevant findings and communicate urgent or unexpected findings according to protocols
• maintain patient records and imaging data
• follow infection prevention, identification, cleaning, and safety procedures
• collaborate with healthcare professionals
• comply with HIPAA and applicable standards.
