Fermentation Process Technician

The Fermentation Process Technician is an onsite role in Peoria, IL, paying $24–$30 per hour. The position works rotating 12-hour shifts, alternating days and nights over a four-week interval; occasional coverage of other shifts and weekend work may be required. Locus Fermentation Solutions develops bio-based solutions for agriculture, energy, mining, and industrial markets. The technician operates and maintains fermentation and downstream processing equipment, monitors process conditions, and collects samples and production data. The work supports safe, consistent production, product quality, and continuous improvement in collaboration with Production, Quality, and Research and Development teams.

What you'll do

• Prepare, operate, and monitor fermentation and downstream processing equipment
• adjust process parameters using PLCs, DCS, and instrumentation
• collect samples and perform assigned tests
• maintain production records
• clean, sanitize, and inspect equipment
• follow GMP, sanitation, SOP, and safety requirements
• report process or equipment concerns
• and collaborate on daily operations and continuous improvement.
