The Carpenter's Assistant role is onsite at Winnebago Tribal Facilities Department in Winnebago, NE. Compensation is $21.65 per hour. The position supports carpentry work in buildings and facilities of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska. Working with a lead carpenter, the assistant helps construct, install, and repair structural woodwork and building components. The work contributes to upkeep and improvement of tribal facilities, following blueprints, drawings, or instructions and established work routines.

What you'll do

• Assist with construction and repair of structural woodwork and equipment
• help build, repair, and install counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, framework, and trim
• install glass in windows, doors, and partitions
• replace damaged ceiling tile, floor tile, and wall coverings
• install small items such as window shades, blinds, curtain rods, wall fans, and door locks
• work in other Facilities Department areas as needed.

Why this role
