Job overview

The Afterschool Lead Coach works onsite in Los Angeles, CA, part time, with afterschool hours Monday through Friday for approximately 4.25 hours per day, generally between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.; some Saturdays are included. Pay is $23–$24 per hour. A World Fit For Kids supports youth programs at elementary, middle, and high schools through movement, modeling, and mentoring. The Lead Coach helps the Site Coordinator keep the program safe, organized, and engaging, and steps in to oversee daily site operations when the coordinator is unavailable. The role supports coaches, maintains attendance and program records, and plans educational activities and events that advance program goals.

What you'll do

• Step in for the Site Coordinator when absent or off site
• assist with attendance collection and documentation
• support school and community meetings and events
• plan and deliver educational activities and lesson plans
• maintain a safe and supportive environment
• build relationships with youth, parents, and school personnel
• organize end-of-semester performances or displays
• participate in staff development.
