The Legal Secretary, Civil Litigation is an onsite role in Sacramento, CA. Compensation is $33.65–$43.27 per hour. York Law Corporation’s litigation practice handles elder abuse cases and represents injured or abused seniors and their families. The secretary supports attorneys by managing litigation calendars and deadlines, preparing and formatting court documents, and coordinating filing and case records. Accurate calendaring and procedural compliance help the practice meet court requirements and support its clients’ cases.

What you'll do

• Manage civil litigation calendars, deadlines, and appearances
• calculate and confirm rule-based deadlines and provide weekly calendar reports
• format pleadings, motions, briefs, appellate briefs, tables of contents, and tables of authorities
• review filings for procedural compliance
• research local court rules and filing procedures
• monitor incoming communications for triggering events
• coordinate court calls, reporters, videographers, travel, and conference rooms
• maintain case-management records and filing credentials.
