The Personnel Assistant role is onsite at Fort Polk, LA. Pay is $17–$21 per hour. The position provides administrative and research support to the Directorate of Human Resources at Fort Polk. The assistant supports military human resources operations by maintaining and researching personnel records, advising Soldiers and family members on procedures, and coordinating with unit administrators and installation service providers. Accurate policy-based guidance and records help the HR team deliver reliable services.

What you'll do

• Provide administrative and research support to the Directorate of Human Resources
• deliver courteous HR customer service
• support personnel records, information systems, in- and out-processing, and DEERS/identification card management
• coordinate with unit administrators, commanders, and installation service providers
• brief and counsel Soldiers and family members on HR procedures
• support readiness, personnel actions, promotions, and casualty management
• verify records and benefits eligibility
• collect workload and performance data
• monitor customer satisfaction
• provide employee performance feedback to the Program Manager.

Why this role
