Technical Writer — DOT OCIO IT Governance

Job overview

The Technical Writer role is onsite at DOT offices in Washington, DC, five days per week. The anticipated salary range is $60,000–$70,000 per year. What you'll do

• Research, write, edit, and format IT policies, SOPs, memoranda, guidance, and governance documentation
• conduct plain-language and executive reviews
• gather and validate information from subject matter experts and authoritative sources
• maintain documentation repositories and the IT Business Glossary
• develop financial management documentation and presentations
• design graphics and executive materials
• maintain websites and collaboration sites
• ensure Section 508 accessibility and DOT branding compliance
• manage version control, review cycles, approvals, and publication tracking.
