What you'll do

• Dispatch import and export ocean containers throughout the Chicago market
• coordinate pickups and deliveries at rail terminals, depots, and customer facilities
• monitor container availability, free time, detention, per diem, and return requirements
• plan loads and driver utilization
• coordinate with customers, steamship lines, railroads, depots, and drivers
• track shipments through completion
• resolve service issues and appointments
• maintain shipment records and customer updates
• communicate after hours when necessary.
