The Technical Director is an onsite role based in Kirkville, NY, with compensation ranging from $170,000 to $220,000 per year. This position serves as the senior metallurgical leader for Superior Metals Manufacturing, supporting the company's mission to provide function-critical components for the aerospace and industrial markets. This role exists to provide strategic and operational leadership for specialty alloy production, including superalloy design and vacuum induction melting. The Technical Director will lead the engineering team, drive continuous improvement in manufacturing performance, and act as the primary technical liaison for customers and internal stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Serve as primary technical authority on superalloy metallurgy
• lead and develop the engineering team
• provide technical leadership for alloy targeting and specification development
• direct vacuum induction melting (VIM) operations
• lead metallurgical investigations and root cause corrective actions
• drive continuous improvement initiatives
• oversee raw material qualification
• serve as technical liaison for customers.
