The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Orthopedics role is onsite in Port Charlotte, FL; pay starts at $18 per hour. The assistant supports patient intake and clinical procedures while maintaining accurate records, prepared exam rooms, and compliance with practice and infection-control standards.

What you'll do

• Escort patients to exam rooms
• review complaints and prepare patients for examinations
• record vital signs
• reconcile medications
• update smoking status
• complete selected MIPS measures and clinical protocols
• provide wound care, remove sutures and staples, prepare sterile injections, and apply or remove casts, splints, and braces within scope
• document in the EHR
• prepare and sterilize rooms and instruments
• process x-ray orders
• assist surgical patients with consent and clearance documentation
• manage supplies and records
• maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
