The Unit Specialist role is onsite at Rosecrance Harrison Campus in Rockford, Illinois, on the second shift, Tuesday–Saturday, 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. Starting pay is $18.43 per hour for high school or GED education, with higher stated starting rates for associate’s and bachelor’s degrees and additional pay for CADC certification. Rosecrance provides behavioral health services for people facing substance use and mental health challenges. The specialist supervises clients and provides counseling and recovery support in a safe, therapeutic environment. The role coordinates activities, facilitates groups and lectures, maintains records, and works with the treatment team to support clients’ treatment plans and recovery.

What you'll do

• Supervise client behavior and provide behavioral interventions
• coordinate recreational activities
• consult with primary counselors on treatment plans and schedule individual sessions
• maintain client service records
• develop and present patient lectures
• observe and record group dynamics
• facilitate group discussions
• coordinate daily therapeutic direction with the treatment team
• review logs and handoff information from previous shifts.

Why this role

A $4,000 sign-on bonus is paid within two years of hire, with $250 paid during the first pay period. CADC certification is required or must be obtained within 24 months.
