The Head of Ground Test is an onsite role in Crossville, TN; compensation is not specified. The role leads the facilities, people, and processes that produce test data for Whisper Aero’s propulsion products and customer programs, including NASA and Department of Defense programs. Whisper Aero develops cleaner, quieter, and more efficient propulsion solutions. This hands-on leader develops the ground-test team and strategy, coordinates test campaigns, and scales test infrastructure so propulsion products can progress from development toward qualification. The role ensures test results are reliable, timely, and defensible for engineering decisions and customer needs.

What you'll do

• Lead, hire, and develop test engineers and technicians
• mentor staff in instrumentation and experimental methods
• plan test resources across programs
• define propulsor development and qualification test strategy
• lead test campaigns and readiness reviews
• manage ground-test scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables
• develop test facilities, data acquisition, automation, and reporting practices
• oversee test safety, procedures, and quality
• communicate results to customers and leadership.
