PV/BESS Operations and Maintenance Technician (Entry Level)

Job overview

The PV/BESS Operations and Maintenance Technician (Entry Level) role is onsite near Mojave, CA, with compensation of $26–$34 per hour. The technician supports operation and maintenance of Terra-Gen’s Edward / Sanborn projects. The role performs scheduled and unscheduled fieldwork, including troubleshooting, testing, preventive and corrective maintenance, and assisting with site visits. It also supports safe, reliable project operations through maintenance documentation, contractor work observation, and communication of results to site management.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot and repair DC, low-voltage AC, data acquisition, meteorological station, photovoltaic, and energy storage components
• perform electrical tests and preventive maintenance
• document maintenance activities
• follow safety procedures
• observe contractor work
• prepare reports
• travel to alternate worksites as assigned.
